Dear [title] [surname],

Tickets for Stamford Shakespeare Company’s performance of The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde

It is with great excitement that I write to let you know about the reopening of your theatre and the 2021 Season at Tolethorpe Hall. We are continuing with our postponed productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost and The Importance of Being Earnest. Unfortunately, we cannot continue with Romeo and Juliet but are substituting this production with Humble Boy by Charlotte Jones.

Print at home tickets attached:

You currently hold tickets for The Importance of Being Earnest on a Wednesday night. Due to social distancing, we have far fewer seats in the auditorium and therefore have had to change your booking to Tuesday instead. Your print-at-home tickets are attached. The last bookings taken by our box office were the ones that were reallocated. If you are happy with these tickets, you do not need to do anything other than print them and bring them to the theatre on the night.

If you would like to exchange to a different day, please contact the box office on 01780 756133 (10am-2pm, Mon-Fri) who will arrange the transfer of tickets, or email: boxoffice@stamfordartscentre.com You have priority booking from 29th March to 18th April before the tickets go on public sale.

Whilst we understand that the timeline for opening up theatres remains contingent on the government’s four-stage plan continuing as planned, we are proceeding with optimism and look forward to welcoming you to our theatre this summer. Please view our terms & conditions on our website which will have details of our Covid-secure guidelines, and will be updated as and when the Government advises.

Auditorium seating:

We will be abiding by all the relevant government guidance, which currently means a socially distanced seating plan, maintaining a distance of 2 metres where possible (and otherwise no less than 1 metre) and asking you to wear a face covering. Everyone, including household groups, will be socially distanced as we cannot change the seating plan each night. We reserve the right to change the seating plan as the Season progresses.

Thank you for your support and your patience and I look forward to welcoming you back to Tolethorpe Hall and our beloved theatre.

Best wishes
