Dear [title] [surname],

Tickets for Stamford Shakespeare Company’s performance of The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde

It is with great excitement that I write to let you know about the reopening of your theatre and the 2021 Season at Tolethorpe Hall. We are continuing with our postponed productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost and The Importance of Being Earnest. Unfortunately, we cannot continue with Romeo and Juliet but are substituting this production with Humble Boy by Charlotte Jones.

How to exchange your tickets:

You currently hold tickets for The Importance of Being Earnest and we will be transferring your booking to the 2021 dates. Stamford Arts Centre box office will contact you with confirmation of your new booking within the next few weeks. Many thanks for your patience during this very busy time.

Whilst we understand that the timeline for opening up theatres remains contingent on the government’s four-stage plan continuing as planned, we are proceeding with optimism and look forward to welcoming you to our theatre this summer. Please view our terms & conditions on our website which will have details of our Covid-secure guidelines and will be updated as and when the Government advises.

Auditorium seating:

We will be abiding by all the relevant government guidance, which currently means a socially distanced seating plan, maintaining a distance of 2 metres where possible (and otherwise no less than 1 metre) and asking you to wear a face covering. Everyone, including household groups, will be socially distanced as we cannot change the seating plan each night. We reserve the right to change the seating plan as the season progresses.

Thank you for your support and your patience and I look forward to welcoming you back to Tolethorpe Hall and our beloved theatre.

Best wishes
