Dear Friend,

Priority booking for Stamford Shakespeare Company 2021 Season

It is with great excitement that I write to let you know about the reopening of your theatre and the 2021 Season at Tolethorpe Hall. We are continuing with our postponed productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost and The Importance of Being Earnest. Unfortunately, we cannot continue with Romeo and Juliet but are substituting this production with Humble Boy by Charlotte Jones.

We have transferred your Friends’ 2020 membership to this year, and it enables you to make use of the priority booking period. You will need to quote your Friends’ membership number when making the booking. With regard to existing bookings, you will receive an email from our box office explaining your ticket transfer.

Our box office will open for Friends on Monday 12th April and you can book your tickets by phoning Stamford Arts Centre on 01780 756133 (10am-2pm, Mon-Fri), or email: You have priority booking from 12th to 18th April before the tickets go on public sale.

Whilst we understand that the timeline for opening up theatres remains contingent on the government’s four-stage plan continuing as planned, we are proceeding with optimism and look forward to welcoming you to our theatre this summer. Please view our terms & conditions on our website which will have details of our Covid-secure guidelines, and will be updated as and when the Government advises.

Auditorium seating:

We will be abiding by all the relevant government guidance, which currently means a socially distanced seating plan, maintaining a distance of 2 metres where possible (and otherwise no less than 1 metre) and asking you to wear a face covering. Everyone, including household groups, will be socially distanced as we cannot change the seating plan each night. We reserve the right to change the seating plan as the season progresses.

Thank you for your support and your patience and I look forward to welcoming you back to Tolethorpe Hall and our beloved theatre.

Best wishes
